If you’ve yet to experience the joys of jQuery, you’re missing out.
jQuery, put simply, is a Javascript library that enables Web Designers to easily add beautiful effects and useful functionality to a website by only using only a few lines of code (a significant advantage over standard Javascript).
Since developer John Resig, made available the original ALPHA release of jQuery back in January 2006, it has became one of the most popular advances in web development (Official jQuery Website).
Not only does jQuery aid website usability, it also contributes towards great design and overall the sheer effectiveness of a website. Great examples which we’ve used on our clients websites include Text Sliders, Drop Down Menu’s and Lightbox Galleries – all of which are easy to implement and best of all, cross-browser compatible.
Whether you’re a seasoned jQuery expert, or looking to implement it in your own website for the first time, there are many fantastic jQuery resources available online.
