HTML5 Boilerplate sets the way forward in development of HTML5 websites

What is HTML5 Boilerplate?

HTML5 Boilerplate in it’s most basic form is a website template package that is designed to act as a code base for the writing of standards-compliant, HTML5 websites with ease.

In short, contained within you will find a prewritten, HTML5-considered index page, a CSS Reset stylesheet and SEO-targeted files such as Robots.txt and comprehensive .htaccess file.

On the face of it, HTML5 boilerplate might actually only sound like a collection of resources, but they are written and considered in a manner that encourages good website architecture and pre-emptively sets a good standard for Web Designers who are looking move away from the XHTML 1.0 specification to develop a HTML5 website for the first time.
