Special Characters can often be a confusing part of website design as your computer may render them correctly, but when you upload it to the web, it may not be so easily recognized. In order to work around this problem the ISO consortium put together several sets of special characters. Each set gives us 255 special characters to work with and are grouped, often by region of the world or the characters used in groups of languages. The one which anyone reading this will using will be the western latin set.
In order for your web browser to display these characters correctly in your website design, you will find you have put a code into your source code. Everytime, the browser meets this code, it will render it on the page as that particular special character. Please browse the table below to help you identify symbol you require.
