In one of our earliest and most popular web design videos blogs, Nick and I filmed a screen cast of how to install WordPress 2.8. As WordPress is now up to version 3.0.1, we’ve decided to update our previous video and show you the up-to-date installation process.
Like I mention in the video, in order to successfully install WordPress, your server will need to meet WordPress’ system requirements. Once you’re confident your server is compatible, and you have your MySQL database is ready – you will then need to download the latest release of WordPress.
In the video demonstration we will also show you two popular settings that you may wish to make:
- Setting up User and SEO friendly Permalinks
- Renaming the WordPress folder.
