James: Hi, welcome to our web design video blog, firstly a bit of news. You may have noticed that Google has updated its’ PageRank, we’ve seen our blog go from a PR3 to a PR4 and also our new Twitter page and Youtube Channel have been given new PageRanks.

Nick: Google seems to update its’ PageRank on a quarterly basis – but this is something that isn’t set in stone. We usually hear rumours it is imminent through forums and blogs like you may do as well.

James: For this week’s web design tutorial, we have been asked to show a quick method for doing the ‘Handwriting Effect’ in Flash.

Demonstration Beings.

James: If you know of any other good techniques for doing the ‘Handwriting Effect’ in Flash, please let us know on our Youtube Comments or Blog Post. Thank you for watching.

    Hi Guys
Just found you on You Tube and I’m about to have a bash at a website design and whilst I have CS4, it is all new to me. The flash handwriting is interesting to me cos’ I can think of exactly an application for that on my new site. I wondered if sound can accompany the flash such as the squeak of the marker pen or if I did a letter at a time I could use the noise of a stamp hitting the page. How might i do this?
    Thanks
    Graham.
